The following represent some of the MAJOR events organised for 2008. There are many other events - worship, concerts, picnics, outings etc. advertised through the " Bridge".

  

August 10^th 2008 Sunday

‘Songs of Praise’ on Harbour Green at 4.30 will be accompanied by a brass band. 

     

September 14^th 2008 Sunday

Andrew Staley’s installation at St John’s, Tisbury  at 7.30 pm.

 

September 21^st 2008 Sunday

Harvest Lunch: after the morning service in Holy Trinity Bradpole. The service will be at the later time of 11 am.

CTiBD Youth Worker Joel Baker’s commissioning service: at 3pm in St.Swithun’s Church, Allington.

 

October 4^th 2008 Saturday

"Safe from Harm" update training on working with vulnerable adults.  (This includes virtually anyone we look after through ministry). With Norma Fergusson   Choose morning OR afternoon (the session is repeated).  

EITHER:  10 am -12.30 pm. OR  1.30 pm. - 4 pm. at St Swithun's Vestry Extension, Allington Bridport.
(Those who live in the Deanery have a CRB certificate through the C of E (lay or ordained) are especially requested to come to one of the "Safe from Harm" sessions.  These sessions will replace the monthly first Friday meeting of the Bridport, Bothenhampton and West Bay Local Ministry Team meeting.)

November 20^th 2008, Thursday

"Working with Children and Young People" with Claire Estall and Barbara Meardon, Diocesan youth and children's advisers.
1pm to 5 pm. in St Mary's Church Bridport.  This is for those who work with children or young people.  Claire and Barbara are prepared to address any particular topic you might like to discuss.
